D’Ieteren Luxury Performance set to compete in the GT World Challenge Europe!

It was during the Press Day of the Brussels Motor Show that D’Ieteren Luxury Performance officially announced this Friday morning its participation in the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe with two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars.

“Motorsport is an extremely powerful marketing and communication platform, capable of generating passion and emotion,” comments Denis Gorteman, CEO of D’Ieteren Auto. “Porsche has built its brand image through racing, with 19 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 8 wins at the 24 Hours of Spa, as well as world titles in Europe, America and Asia. By joining the GT World Challenge Europe, D’Ieteren Luxury Performance intends to honour this tradition. Everything is being put in place to ensure that the two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars carrying our colours can truly stand out…”

This new chapter, rich in prestige, fits perfectly with the values of D’Ieteren Luxury Performance, while paying tribute to Porsche’s racing heritage.

“The ‘Luxury’ dimension is reflected in our presence at the Brussels Motor Show, where we are showcasing all of our brands,” explains Jean-François Bernaerts, Director of D’Ieteren Luxury Performance. “In this context, it is highly symbolic to unveil the ‘Performance’ aspect, which in 2026 will take the form of a very international racing programme, fully aligned with our ambitions. This participation in the GT World Challenge Europe is the logical continuation of our competitive involvement over the past two years. It is perfectly in line with our aspirations…”

The two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars in D’Ieteren Luxury Performance colours will be run by the Boutsen VDS team, managed by Olivier Lainé and Olivia Boutsen alongside their son Amaury, and represented this Friday morning in Brussels by Thierry Boutsen and Marc van der Straten. The Belgian team is joining the Porsche family with the ambition to shine both in the overall classification and in the Gold category.

The first Porsche will compete in the PRO category, targeting overall victories in both the Sprint Cup and the Endurance Cup. French driver Dorian Boccolacci, a Porsche factory driver, will contest the full programme. In the Endurance Cup events, he will be joined by Belgian driver Alessio Picariello, also a Porsche factory driver, as well as Dutch driver Morris Schuring. These two drivers will also support Boccolacci in the Sprint Cup races, depending on their respective availabilities.

The second D’Ieteren Luxury Performance Porsche 911 GT3 R will compete in the Gold Cup. It will be driven by Sweden’s Robin Knutsson and Belgian driver Gilles Magnus, with a third driver to be announced at a later stage.

At the heart of what promises to be a particularly intense racing season, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa will represent a key highlight for D’Ieteren Luxury Performance, which will roll out numerous initiatives to delight and reward Porsche brand enthusiasts.

“When we first started discussions with Lionel Hansen, the 24 Hours of Spa were a dream, an objective to be achieved,” comments Lionel Janssens, Marketing Manager of D’Ieteren Luxury Performance. “The collaboration that followed has been excellent, and it will allow us to take part in the twice-around-the-clock Ardennes classic, widely regarded as the world’s greatest endurance race reserved exclusively for GT cars. I am extremely proud of the progress made in such a short time, and even more determined to shine in such a prestigious setting!”

A major new chapter is therefore opening for D’Ieteren Luxury Performance, with an international commitment in the world’s most competitive Grand Touring championship.
